breast Cancer Awareness

We Wear Pink For a Life

Breast cancer awareness is an effort to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of breast cancer through education on symptoms and treatment. So as we all know, October is the Breast Cancer Month Awareness but here we are in December and we believe its just right to keep talking about  Breast Cancer so that all women go for screening so as to save a life.

In the month of October Bloggers in East Africa an online community that is committed to promote, encourage and unite bloggers and influencers in East Africa did reach out and asked us to collaborate with BreastIT.

For all those that don’t know about BreastIT, well this happens to be  an organisation that did create a mobile application that aids in the diagnosis and prevention of breast cancer and it’s currently working to promote free Breast Cancer screening for all women in Uganda. It’s partnering with a few selected hospitals and some of them are NAKASERO Hospital at the Executive wellness centre and Uganda Cancer Institute.

In this shoot we decided to wear pink  since during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and throughout the year—people wear pink ribbons to honor survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and to support the progress we are making together to defeat breast cancer.

At we stand by Early detection of breast cancer can make the disease easier to treat so we did this shoot to stand by all those that have breast cancer, survivors and to encourage every woman to take care of themselves by going for breast cancer screening.
